I visited the agricultural university in our city which is the biggest in Asia with my cousin. There was a botanical garden that was functioning opposite to the university and after paying the entrance fee of 5 dollars, we went inside the garden. Each tree inside the garden was named and the use of the tree was written. There was a small house like structure made of herbs and a lot of medicinal plants were kept inside this provision. We entered the room and found a lot of medicinal plants and there were boards stating the name of the medicinal plants and its uses. The plants are used to cure a lot of diseases like jaundice etc in a natural manner. Each medicinal plant had its own use and my cousin noted down the medicinal plants and its uses for the biology assignment that he had to submit in the class.

The aroma inside the area of the medicinal plants was great and eucalyptus trees were also present in the garden. There are various other places in the botanical garden and there was a separate field in the garden where the medicinal plants and its uses were written and grown in huge numbers in acres. On enquiry, we found that the garden was selling these medicinal plants to the pharmacies which use these plants to manufacture tablets and give it to the consumers in the retail outlets. The medicinal plants and its uses in the field of medicine are huge and there are a lot of tablets for various diseases that are manufactured using these medicinal plants.

In fact there is a separate field of medicine named Siddha medicine where the doctors who have obtained proper training from the institutes of Siddha give treatment to the patients using the natural herbs and plants. These doctors understand the nature of the medicinal plants and generate medicines on their own. These medicines are given to the patients visiting these doctors and most of the diseases get cured in this manner and some of the doctors get a high amount of money for their tablets. In the earlier days, humans used to treat their bodies using the medicinal plants that are available in the forests and are believed to have lived for 500 years or even 1000 years in the historic ages. The Mother Nature has a lot of power and there is cure for almost all diseases in this form of natural treatment.
